Coolio dead at 59… Hocus Pocus 2 premiere & Stranger Things house update… Bruce Willis sold his ‘digital twin’… Khloe Kardashian reveal… and Billy Ray Cyrus engaged to singer Firerose
TMZ was first to report that Coolio passed away yesterday. His longtime manager Jarez told TMZ that Coolio was at a friend’s home in LA when he excused himself to go to the bathroom. When he didn’t come back after a reasonable amount of time, the friend called out and Coolio didn’t answer. That’s when he went into the bathroom and found Coolio collapsed on the floor. Paramedics arrived, but there was nothing they could do. While the official cause of death is pending, paramedics say it looked like Coolio had suffered a heart attack. Just four days before he passed away, Coolio gave what would be his final performance at a music festival in Boerne, Texas, just north of San Antonio. He was only 59.

“Hocus Pocus 2” premieres tomorrow on Disney+. To mark the occasion, Airbnb has invited a few brave souls to book a stay at a recreation of the Sanderson Sisters’ house. For just $31 on Oct. 20, two guests can spend the night in the cabin nestled in the woods of Salem, Mass. Guests can try their hand at spells enshrined in the ancient spell book that guided the sisters in all their mischief, explore the rich, gothic history of Salem with visits to some of the town’s most haunted properties, and more. You can request to book the stay beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12 at airbnb.com/hocuspocus2. And the Byers’ house on “Stranger Things” has sold. The house sits on six acres in Fayetteville, Georgia, and not in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The new owner plans to recreate the home from the show “to a T” with different parts made to look like The Upside Down and then rent it out through Airbnb.

Back in March, Bruce Willis’ family announced he would be retiring from acting because he’d been diagnosed with aphasia — a neuro-cognitive disorder that effects one’s ability to speak and understand language. Before announcing his diagnosis, Bruce was cranked out three movies as quickly as he could, using body doubles and creative editing to hide what was happening. In fact, one of those movies — “Detective Knight: Rogue” — hits theaters on Oct. 21. But as it turns out, these three movies are not the last we’ll see of Bruce. He has sold his image rights to Deepcake, a company that used artificial intelligence to create a very realistic “digital twin” of Bruce. It’s nicknamed “deepfake technology.” Bruce’s digital twin made its debut in August of last year when his face was super-imposed onto an actor for a Russian telecoms company. Reportedly, it takes Deepcake engineers 3 to 5 days to recreate Bruce for projects, but his estate has final approval on whatever they do with his image. In a statement on Deepcake’s website, Bruce said, “For me, it is a great opportunity to go back in time. With the advent of modern technology, even when I was on another continent, I was able to communicate, work and participate in the filming. It’s a very new and interesting experience, and I thank our entire team.”

On today’s episode of “The Kardashians” now streaming on Hulu, Khloe reveals that Tristan Thompson secretly proposed to her more than a year ago. Not only did Khloe say no, she didn’t tell her family. Apparently, Tristan had talked to Kim about proposing on Valentine’s Day. But when Valentine’s Day came and went and Kim never heard a peep out of Khloe, she called Tristan who said, “Oh, I did it months ago. She didn’t tell you guys?” Tristan did, in fact, propose in December. Khloe explained she turned him down because she wanted to be proud to say she was engaged. She told Tristan, “I’m not comfortable accepting this right now because I’m not excited to tell my family.” Khloe said, “As hurtful as that probably was for him to hear, it was the truth. I’m not ever gonna accept something or give someone false hope, and I said that to him.” She made the right call. Months later, Tristan started seeing Maralee Nichols, who was pregnant with Tristan’s son when he and Khloe were going through the surrogacy process.

Five months after Tish Cyrus filed for divorce from Billy Ray, it looks like he’s engaged to an Australian singer who goes by Firerose. Her name is really Elizabeth Maniscalco, and we’re not sure how old she is. Based on where you look, she could be anywhere from 28 to 35. In Instagram posts from two week ago, Firerose is wearing a huge diamond on THAT finger. I guess nobody paid attention until now. We’re not sure when their romance began, but back in August 2021, Firerose told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that she met Billy Ray on the set of “Hannah Montana” 10 years ago.
