While promoting “A Madea Family Funeral” back in 2019, Tyler Perry said he was hanging up that wig. He was tired of playing her and he was moving on. But did you REALLY think we’d seen the last of Madea…..Tyler told “Entertainment Weekly,” “I was looking at the state of the world and how polarized it is… nobody’s laughing. Nobody’s getting the chance to belly-laugh anymore. And I’m like, ‘What tool do I have in my arsenal that can bring that kind of laughter?’ ” And that’s Medea! For his 12th movie as this character, Tyler is putting on those big, fake boobies, a wig and a dress to star in “A Medea Homecoming,” which will begin streaming on Netflix starting Feb. 25. This one will be about Madea’s great-grandson’s college graduation, which brings all the family to a reunion where new family secrets come to light.
Things are worse than we think for Wendy Williams. While producers of her talk show keep teasing that she’s on the road to recovery and will be back on set soon, sources say that ain’t happening. One source told Page Six, “It’s one thing to see what we have seen in the studio, but it’s another thing when certain staff members make it to her home … When the cameras and mics are off, the liquor comes out.” Another source told “The Sun,” “The spark is gone. That Wendy, who for ten years had that spark in her eyes, that cheeky grin and that little wink is not the same now. She’s not always functioning like she used to be. She has days where she needs help eating, getting out of bed and getting dressed.” Their source claims Wendy is having problems recognizing people she once worked closely with and some days has no idea who they are. Of course, Wendy’s rep insists all these stories are simply untrue and rumors that she’ll never return to her talk show are “speculation.”
Kanye recently rapped he wanted to “beat Pete Davidson’s @$$” because he’s messing around with Kim Kardashian. Sources told Page Six that Pete thinks it’s “totally hilarious.” However, RadarOnline is reporting that Pete is taking his safety seriously and has hired security. Their source said, “Pete isn’t worried about Kanye, but he is concerned about the massive fanbase that Kanye has. His devoted followers listen to his songs and act upon them.”
Britney Spears had her attorney write up a cease-and-desist letter to send to her baby sister Jamie Lynn. In the letter, it says, “Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.” The lawyer called Jamie Lynn out, writing, “You recently reportedly stated that the book was ‘not about her.’ She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign. If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”
