NBC knows what we want — more talent competitions! They’ve announced a new spinoff of “America’s Got Talent” called…………“America’s Got Talent: Extreme”! Terry Crews found some time in his schedule to host the spinoff. Judges will be WWE Diva and John Cena heart-breaker Nikki Bella, motocross legend Travis Pastrana, and……..Simon Cowell. Duh. NBC promises this new show will “showcase the most outrageous, unique and jaw-dropping acts of enormous scale and magnitude that simply cannot be confined to a theater stage.” The grand prize will be $500,000. No premiere date was announced, but it looks like it will be after NBC covers the Winter Olympics in February. We’re guessing it will hit the air next summer.
Is Kanye West positioning himself to be the next Steve Jobs? Kanye has always been obsessed with Apple, and his latest possible business venture could put him in direct competition with the company. Kanye filed a trademark application to put the name “Donda” on tech products and he’s covering every possible thing you can think of. Kanye wants to slap the name “Donda” on literally everything electronic, including tablet computers, audio speakers, surround sound systems, smartwatches, smart glasses, smart rings, earbuds, headphones, electronic publications like books, magazines, journals, and pamphlets and I could go on and on and on! A few weeks ago, Kanye also filed to use his name on a new line of home goods, but did he file under Kanye or Ye? Word is, Kanye is trying to legally change his name to just Ye.
Chalk up another win for Kelly Clarkson! She now has the pleasure of evicting her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock from her $10.4M ranch in Montana. Brandon has been living in that ranch since he and Kelly broke up back in June of 2020. He’d requested that he get to keep this ranch and two other Montana properties because they were purchased during their marriage. However, Kelly and Brandon had an iron-clad prenup. And a judge has ruled that Kelly gets to keep all 3 of those Montana properties because she’s the one who paid for them. But don’t worry about Brandon finding something suitable. Kelly cuts him a check for $200K a month in spousal and child support, even though she has primary custody of their 2 kids.
Did Kacey Musgraves just perform naked on live TV?? All signs point to YES. Kacey was the musical guest on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live.” While singing her new song “Justified,” Kacey was sitting on a stool with her guitar in her lap, but all you can see is skin and her cowboy boots. This was a nod to the Jenny character in “Forrest Gump” who did the same thing. And in case the reference was lost, Kacey tweeted the picture from that scene in the movie. The lighting was dim, so you couldn’t see much on TV, but a couple of people in the audience say they’re pretty sure Kacey was naked. The crew put up walls to block the audience’s view before Kacey’s performance, and when she was finished, some crew members wrapped her in large towels before she walked offstage.
