Golden Globes Will Not Be Livestreamed… Betty White with Commemorative Patch… “Dont Look Up” broke the record… Harry Styles fan sues concert venue… and Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello spotted walking their dog
With no celebrities showing up and no TV networks wanting to carry it, the Hollywood Foreign Press has decided they’re not even going to stream the Golden Globes this Sunday night. Instead, they will hold a private 90-minute ceremony, inviting only people who have donated to or supported the Hollywood Foreign Press, which got slammed for its lack of diversity. But they do want us to know they’re working on it, adding 21 new, diverse members who voted on this year’s nominees. In addition to announcing all the winners, the Senior Vice President of the Hollywood Bureau of the NAACP has been invited to speak.
The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore are honoring Betty White as the “Amazing Woman of the Month.” They announced back in December they were going to honor her this month, during which Betty would’ve celebrated her 100th birthday. This month, the Girl Scouts are earning the Betty White patch. To earn it, the girls will learn about what made Betty so groundbreaking and then build a pretend TV, create their own game shows, advocate for animals and learn how to get along with others.
“Don’t Look Up” has become Netflix’s number one movie when it comes to the most viewing hours in a single week. “Deadline” reported that “Don’t Look Up” was watched for 152.29M hours during the week of Dec. 27-Jan.2. And even though it’s been out less than a month, the movie is already the third-most-watched movie on Netflix, behind Sandra Bullock’s “Bird Box” and last year’s “Red Notice,” which starred Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. With the way things are going, it shouldn’t be long before “Don’t Look Up” takes over as the most watched movie in Netflix history.
It was nowhere near the tragedy that was Travis Scott’s Astroworld concert in Houston. But as a result of that show, I think we’re going to see more and more lawsuits filed by people injured at concerts. In fact, a woman in LA is suing over the injuries she suffered at one of Harry Styles’ concerts in December 2019. She claims she suffered “chronic and debilitating” injuries after a massive crowd rushed the stage. And now she’s suing pretty much everyone involved with putting on that concert — except Harry Styles.
A fan who attended a Harry’s One Night Only show at The Forum in Los Angeles in 2019 is suing the venue, claiming she was seriously injured in a crowd surge. Harry is not named as a plaintiff in the lawsuit. https://t.co/CAQj8z2TT2— Harry Styles Updates (@HSUpdating) January 6, 2022
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello broke up back in November, and Camila took custody of the Golden Retriever they had adopted together, Tarzan. But sources say Shawn was having a harder time over losing Tarzan than he was over losing Camila! And yesterday, the two of them were seen walking Tarzan together in Miami. Fans of the couple are hoping this means they’re back together, but sources say they’re just doing their best to co-parent their dog.
