Frogger debuted in arcades back in 1981, and then became a very popular game on home consoles. Now it’s being turned into a competition series for the Peacock streaming network. According to the press release, “Frogger” will feature 12 obstacle courses, or “crossings,” that will have contestants dodging traffic and leaping over alligators and hippos. They’re starting off with 13 episodes and they’re looking for contestants right now. This is just the latest classic game being turned into a TV show. They’re also turning UNO and Whack-A-Mole into games shows. And speaking of UNO, they’re turning that into a heist movie starring Lil Yachty.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is a group of 87 people who nominate and choose winners for the Golden Globes. They’ve come under fire recently for their lack of diversity in their nominations, so the LA Times decided to do a deep dive into their membership, which apparently is very secretive. It turns out, while the group does have some members of color, there are no Black members of the HFPA. After confirming this was true, the group claimed it’s an issue they are “committed to addressing.”

In a new interview, Tom Holland talks about how he blew his audition for the part of Finn in the last “Star Wars” trilogy. Tom said in his audition scene, he was interacting with BB8, and the robot’s part was being voiced by a woman making funny noises. Tom said, “I was doing all of this, like, ‘We gotta get back to the ship!’ and she was going, ‘Bleep, bloop bloop, bleep bloop.’ I just couldn’t stop laughing! I found it so funny. And I felt really bad, because she was trying really hard to be a convincing android or drone or whatever they’re called. Yeah, I obviously didn’t get the part. That wasn’t my best moment.” John Boyega went on to land the role of Finn.

Last night, BTS became the first Korean act to have their own “MTV Unplugged” special. But unlike the old days, stuff was plugged in. And there were lots of set and outfit changes. BTS filmed their half-hour special in South Korea, kicking things off with “Telepathy,” followed by “Blue & Grey” and then switching over to English for a surprise performance of Coldplay’s “Fix You.”

Tiger Woods was in California to film something with Drew Brees for GOLF-TV. Sources say he was running about 30 minutes late and his hotel was about an hour away from the course where he needed to be. An eyewitness staying at the hotel said Tiger looked really agitated when his car was blocked by someone unloading luggage and then he took off really fast when he finally could. And now authorities are saying speed is likely the cause of Tiger’s single-vehicle rollover crash yesterday morning just sound of LA. The road he was on has a dangerous stretch of hills and curves. The speed limit is 45mph, but since it’s downhill, one officer said it’s common to see people going up to 80mph. We don’t know how fast Tiger was driving when he lost control of his SUV, crossed the center divider and went across two opposing lanes of traffic before tumbling several hundred feet from the road. When first responders arrived, Tiger was said to be “lucid and responsive,” but he was trapped. They had to use the jaws of life to pull Tiger through the windshield. He was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. Doctors say none of his injuries were life-threatening, but they had to insert a rod into his lower right leg, and insert multiple screws into his foot and ankle. Tiger released a statement late last night saying he’s “awake and responsive.” He thanked the medical staff and said no further updates would be given at this time.
