Netflix has rolled out a new tool for parents to give us a better idea and understanding of what our kids are watching. It’s an email called the Kids Activity Report, and it breaks down what type of shows your kids are spending the most time watching, who their favorite character is, and it will recommend new shows based on your children’s interests. It also has a joke of the day, coloring pages based on your kids’ favorite characters and shows that you can download, some questions parents can ask their kids about the shows if you have no idea who these characters are and you want to connect with your kid on that level. If you have a Kids Profile enabled, look for that email.
Taylor Swift read an article in the Washington Post about the millions of unemployed Americans who have fallen on hard times, and it touched her heart. She reached out to 2 moms featured in the article who were both facing eviction and gave them each $13K. She also included personal notes of encouragement, telling Nikki Cornwell of Nashville, “…I’m so sorry for everything you’ve had to go through this year and wanted to send you this gift, from one Nashville girl to another.” And to Shelbie Selewski in Michigan she wrote, “No one should have to feel the kind of stress that’s been put on you. I hope you and your beautiful family have a great holiday season.”
Taylor Swift does it again
You really find out who your friends are when you go through a crisis, and according to The Sun UK, former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz has a friend in Tyler Perry. Carl was fired from the church after admitting to an adulterous affair. He and his wife are in therapy, trying to save their marriage. Tyler reportedly covered 6 months of rent on Carl’s $4M mansion on Manhattan Beach in LA, which the tabloid says would be $16K per month.
Former Bachelorette suitor Tyler Cameron is still single and looking for his soul mate. He told Whitney Port on her podcast that he doesn’t do the whole dating app thing, he chooses to slide into DMs. He said, “That’s where I live.” Whitney’s husband asked Tyler if he literally scrolled through his account and randomly chose who he was going to DM, and Tyler said yeah! He said, “It’s kind of like, you know, it’s a Wednesday at 6pm and I see someone — ‘Oh, she’s pretty.’ And I’ll send her a message.” Tyler said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take,’ so I’m gonna shoot. Some of them don’t hit, some do, and it is what it is.”
