Katie Couric promotes memoir… Andrew Lloyd Webber ’emotionally damaged’… Diplo tells his side… Britney Spears’ Insta… and Camila Cabello says Shawn Mendes helps with her Anxiety
Katie Couric is getting blasted for her upcoming memoir, Going There. As it turns out, Katie is not a “girl’s girl,” and she throws a lot of her fellow female news personalities under the bus. Deborah Norville and Ashleigh Banfield have already expressed their displeasure over what Katie wrote, with Ashleigh demanding a retraction when Katie dragged her father into it. Katie had been booked to be interviewed by Gayle King on “CBS This Morning,” but once producers read her book and realized she talked trash about their show, they rescinded their invitation. However, Katie will be going back to her old stomping grounds on the “Today” show. Even though she slammed a number of her former co-stars and producers, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are still willing to sit down with her on October 19.
Before the movie “Cats” came out, Broadways fans were excited that one of their favorite musicals was finally going to make it to the big screen. But then the trailer came out. All people could talk about was how creepy everybody looked. And then the movie came out. Not only did everyone look super creepy as “people cats,” the movie was absolutely awful. Poor Andrew Lloyd Webber — the Broadway legend who created the original “Cats” — said he was so traumatized by what they did to his creation, he bought a dog!! Andrew said he got a Havanese puppy that he kept with him all the time because he was so emotionally damaged. And when he wrote to an airline to explain he needed his therapy dog to fly, Andrew said, “The airline wrote back and said, ‘Can you prove that you really need him?’ And I said ‘Yes, just see what Hollywood did to my musical ‘Cats.’ Then the approval came back with a note saying, ‘No doctor’s report required.’”
Diplo may face criminal charges after being accused of rape and sexual assault, but he wants to share his side of the story. On his Instagram yesterday, Diplo posted, “Here’s a story about how a stalker scammed her way into my life and tried to extort me for millions and then sued me when she didn’t get what she wanted.” Long story short, Diplo explained that he did have a consensual relationship with this woman, but she became obsessed with him. When it became too much, he cut off all communication and that’s when she took things to the next level with these accusations. He said he will do everything he can “to end this in the most respectful way, but will not give in to lies and harassment.”
Britney Spears posted a video of herself dancing in several different outfits to one of her 2003 songs, “Brave New Girl.” She wrote in the caption that she shot the video in two hours and did all the editing herself. She explained, “ … I feel like I have been a caged animal for half of my life …that’s exactly why I choose to direct myself … do my makeup myself … produce myself … dress myself … make music myself … feed myself … and shoot videos and pics myself !!!” Britney’s also thinking about directing a movie similar to “Kill Bill” because yellow has always been her favorite color. She asked “…do you think it might upstage RED???” Speaking of that, I’ve been getting a lot of DMs about Britney’s Project Rose and some people think they’ve figured it out. The attorney who is working to free her from the conservatorship is Mathew ROSEngart! Did she manifest him or was hiring him her plan all along???
Camila Cabello is on the cover of the October issue of “Glamour” and gets very honest about her issues with body image and food. She says, “I have this pattern of eating a lot when I’m anxious or uncomfortable. It’s a comfort thing for me. I’ll just kind of become unconscious and zombie-eat a lot, and then I’ll feel sick.” Camila continued, “When I’m having negative thoughts about my body, that’s actually when I’ll want to binge-eat cookies, and then I have a stomachache. It’s this weird psychology: The more I love my body, the more I actually want to take care of it…. As long as I’m healthy and working out and feel good, that’s the best I can do. There’s no point in trying to have another kind of body.” Camila said that while she was in quarantine, she switched therapists and that greatly benefited her mental health. She also was honest with her boyfriend Shawn Mendes about her relationship with food, and she leans on him for support.
