YouTube has new content guidelines… Fortnite makes $2.4 billion… Mariah Carey’s assistant files lawsuit… Miley Cyrus addresses rumors… and Did Travis Scott consult Colin Kaepernick?
The Bird Box Challenge is stupid. I saw a video of a running baby being slammed into a wall…somebody tried to drive blindfolded and could’ve killed somebody. And all this nonsense is causing YouTube to revise its content guidelines. YouTube is now banning any stunt or prank videos that could possibly hurt or kill someone. They’re going to give content creators a two month grace period to clean up their accounts while they evaluate risky content. So from now on, YouTube says, “We don’t allow pranks that make victims believe they’re in serious physical danger — for example, a home invasion prank or a drive-by shooting prank. We also don’t allow pranks that cause children to experience severe emotional distress, meaning something so bad that it could leave the child traumatized for life.”

According to Nielsen, Fortnite was the number one video game of 2018 — DUH. But what’s more shocking is, Fortnite generated over $2.4 billion last year! And Fortnite is expected to reach almost $129 billion this year. The second highest-earning video game from 2018 was Dungeon Fighter Online with $1.5 billion. League of Legends – Riot Games was right behind that with $1.4 billion. Pokemon GO brought in $1.3 billion, as did Crossfire.

Yesterday I told you about Mariah Carey suing her former assistant, claiming she tried to blackmail her for $8 million with some embarrassing videos. Now the former assistant is claiming that SHE was the victim of horrible abuse at the hands of Mariah’s former manager, Stella Bulochnikov, and she’s fired back with her own lawsuit. Lianna Azarian claims Stella slapped her on her bottom and her breasts, tackled her to the ground and sat on her, called her vulgar and inappropriate names, and peed on her. And she claims the Mariah physically, emotionally and psychologically abused her, too.

Miley Cyrus wore a loose shirt, so of course the Daily Mail claimed she was pregnant. Miley decided to nip this one in the bud. She tweeted a picture of herself with a chicken egg with Miley’s tongue sticking out of it photoshopped onto her belly and captioned it, “I’m not ‘Egg-xpecting’ but it’s ‘Egg-celent’ to hear everyone is so ‘Happy For Us’ …. we’re happy for us too! ‘Egg-cited’ for this next chapter in our lives…. Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg.” The egg she’s referring to is the most liked photo ever on Instagram — @world_record_egg — with over 47 million likes and counting.

According to the producer Jazze Pha, Lil Jon and Jermaine Dupri are going to be part of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. TMZ caught up with Jazze at LAX and he said he’d just come back from the show’s rehearsals. But there are some who are still calling for black artists to boycott the halftime show, including Common, who still thinks Travis Scott should pull out because the NFL doesn’t support black people. Speaking of Travis, yesterday Variety reported that he called Colin Kaepernick to let him know that he was only doing the show because the NFL made a $500K donation to the social justice organization Dream Corps, and that while they didn’t agree on everything, Travis and Colin had mutual respect for each other. Colin and his closer friends say, yes the two men spoke, but the timeline and the content of that conversation is incorrect.
